Classes at Mesa Active Adult Center
I'm Ginny Fisher, a certified art teacher who has taught adult beginners for most of my career. I have found that most people do not believe they are 'Creative', but given support,encouragement, and some training in art techniques, they get outside their comfort zone. Once they have had some success, these budding artists ENJOY their new skills.
Acrylic Painting for Beginners
LEVEL: Absolute Beginner
Day of the Week: Tuesday mornings
Have you wanted to learn to paint but didn’t know how to begin? This class is a place for beginners who don’t know the first thing about painting. Students will be taught how to select proper supplies, elementary color theory, a variety of brush techniques and composition basics. Demonstrations will be included, there will be lots of practice time, and yu will have plenty of encouragement!
SUPPLIES: We will discuss supplies at class 1. Students won't need supplies until class 2. Suppies will cost about $20.00.

Creating Works
LEVEL: Some art/craft experience required
Day of the Week: Tuesday afternoons
This class will include a little bit of art, a little bit of craft, and a lot of fun! We will use various techniques including collage, stamping, stitching and drawing. Many materials will be recycled, and our art will be untraditional. For the first class, bring along pictures of projects or techniques you find appealing. During class we will complete a project. No previous art experience is necessary, just a good attitude!
SUPPLIES: We will discuss supplies at class 1. Students won't need supplies until class 2.
Choose from two sessions; each session will include 5 different projects.
Session 1: TUESDAYS : 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM
